Job summary

Alecto Recruitment is seeking a Residential AV Project Manager to lead luxury smart home projects in London and the Home Counties. You will manage from design through to handover, coordinating architects, engineers and private clients to hit exacting standards.

Join an established technology integration company with 30+ years’ experience, offering travel, training and ongoing professional development. Travel to project sites is regular.

Qualifications

• Previous project management experience within AV, smart home, technology integration, electrical, M&E or construction environments.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Experience coordinating installation teams and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from design and planning through to installation, commissioning and handover.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors and stakeholders.
• Coordinate installation, programming, engineering and commissioning teams.

Are you an experienced AV Project Manager, Smart Home Project Manager or Senior AV Engineer looking to take ownership of high-end residential technology installations?

Do you enjoy delivering technically complex projects while working alongside architects, interior designers, developers and private clients?

You’ll be responsible for managing projects from initial design through to commissioning and handover, ensuring every installation is delivered to the highest standards of quality, performance and customer satisfaction.

As Residential AV Project Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage projects from design and planning through to installation, commissioning and handover
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors and project stakeholders
• Coordinate installation, programming, engineering and commissioning teams
• Develop and maintain project programmes and delivery schedules
• Manage project budgets, resources and procurement activities
• Monitor project progress and proactively resolve issues and risks
• Lead site meetings and client progress reviews
• Coordinate labour, materials and subcontractors
• Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
• Support testing, commissioning and final client demonstrations
• Ensure compliance with health & safety requirements and company standards
• Build strong relationships with architects, interior designers, developers and contractors
• Travel regularly to project sites throughout London and the Home Counties

What We're Looking For

We're interested in hearing from experienced Project Managers already working within AV, Smart Home, Home Automation or Technology Integration environments.

We would also welcome applications from Project Managers within Building Services, Electrical, M&E or Construction sectors who have experience coordinating technical installation projects.

Essential Requirements

• Previous project management experience within AV, smart home, technology integration, electrical, M&E or construction environments
• Strong organisational and planning skills
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills
• Commercial awareness with budget management experience
• Experience coordinating installation teams and subcontractors
• Ability to manage projects from first-fix through to final handover
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable Experience

• Residential AV or smart home project delivery experience
• Knowledge of Crestron, Lutron, KNX, Control4 or similar systems
• Experience working with architects, interior designers and principal contractors
• PRINCE2, APM or equivalent project management qualifications
