Lift Sir Herbert Leon is seeking an Attendance & Wellbeing Lead to improve attendance, wellbeing and engagement for students in Milton Keynes. You will analyze attendance data, work with families and staff, and coordinate interventions while acting as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead to safeguard students.
The role requires GCSEs in English and Maths, experience with young people, safeguarding knowledge, and a full UK driving licence.
We are looking for an Attendance & Wellbeing Lead to join our team at Lift Sir Herbert Leon. This key role supports students and families in overcoming barriers to attendance, engagement, and wellbeing, ensuring every young person has the opportunity to thrive.
You’ll take a proactive approach to improving attendance by working closely with students, families, school colleagues, and external agencies. Using attendance data and your knowledge of individual students, you’ll identify where support is needed and help implement effective interventions.
You’ll also be a named Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL), playing an important role in supporting student welfare and safeguarding across the academy.
You’ll be an excellent communicator who can build positive relationships with students, families, colleagues and external professionals. You’ll be confident using data to identify patterns and inform decisions, with the resilience and empathy to manage sensitive and sometimes challenging situations.
You’ll have GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths, experience of working with and motivating young people, and a good understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Previous experience within education, attendance or working with external agencies would be advantageous.
A full UK driving license is essential as home visits form part of the role.
Lift Sir Herbert Leon is an 11-16 mixed comprehensive school in Bletchley, Milton Keynes. The academy offers excellent learning facilities, particularly in Sport and the Arts, including a theatre/cinema, a library and a swimming pool.
