Job summary

Humberston Academy in Grimsby is seeking an Attendance Information Officer to promote whole school attendance strategies and to improve attendance levels by analyzing indicators and liaising with pupils, parents and external agencies to secure improvements.

The successful candidate must be organised, a good communicator, have a clean driving licence and access to a vehicle for home visits. This is a permanent post, 37 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks per year).

About our Academy

Humberston Academy places its students at the centre of everything it does, with a focus on creating a culture of success, a positive climate for learning and increased student attainment, achievement, and social and emotional development.

You will provide operational and administrative support to promote whole school attendance strategies in order to improve attendance levels and reduce persistent absences, in line with our academy targets.

Our attendance and pastoral team go above and beyond to support students school learning. This has led to Humberston Academy achieving an ‘Outstanding’ status in ‘Behaviour and Attitudes’ and ‘Personal Development’.

Therefore, the successful candidate must be organised, a good communicator, approachable, have strong IT skills and have a positive attitude towards staff and students.

Applicants must have a clean, current driving licence and access to a vehicle to carry out home visits.

About our Academy

Humberston Academy is an oversubscribed academy located in an affluent area of North East Lincolnshire. Ofsted graded the school outstanding in ‘behaviour and attitudes’ and ‘personal development’. Humberston Academy achieved ‘World Class Schools’ status in December 2019 and re-accredited in 2022. Humberston Academy continues to deliver incredible opportunities to young people with a specific focus on STEM enrichment and favourable links to the apprenticeships industry as well as traditional route towards higher education.
