Job summary

Crawshaw Academy is seeking an Attendance Support Officer to monitor pupil attendance, support families, and work with staff to remove barriers to learning. This role helps safeguard students and coordinates early interventions within a supportive pastoral team.

The post requires a compassionate, well-organised individual with strong communication skills and the ability to analyse attendance data to identify trends and actions. Term-time working is included, with training days to be arranged.

About this Role

Term Time Only + training days. Monday - Thursday, 08:00 - 16:00 and Friday, 08:00 - 15:30.

We are seeking a committed, organised andcompassionate Attendance Support Officer to join our pastoral team. This is akey role within the school, supporting pupils, families and staff to promoteexcellent attendance, remove barriers to learning and ensure that every childhas the best opportunity to succeed.

Working closely with pastoral leaders,safeguarding colleagues, SEND colleagues, families and external agencies, youwill play a central role in monitoring attendance, identifying concerns earlyand coordinating appropriate interventions. You will be responsible formaintaining accurate attendance records, supporting statutory compliance andhelping to develop a culture where attendance, wellbeing and safeguarding areeveryone's responsibility.

• Hasexperience of working with young people and families, ideally within aneducation or pastoral setting
• Hasexcellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Cananalyse attendance data and identify trends, concerns and areas forintervention
• Demonstratesresilience, professionalism and sound judgement when dealing with sensitivesituations
