Job summary

Granville Academy, part of Affinity Learning Partnership, invites applications for an Education Welfare Officer to support the pastoral team in improving attendance and outcomes for students. You will manage records, liaise with parents, carers and external agencies, and help deliver a proactive, data-driven attendance strategy across the academy.

Ideally you hold or are working toward an NVQ 3 in Learning and Support for children, have good literacy and numeracy, and familiarity with SIMS.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 in Learning & Support services for children or equivalent
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Experience with SIMS desirable
• Counselling young people experience desirable

Responsibilities

• Support attendance and high levels of attendance in partnership with pastoral team
• Collaborate with Assistant Principal to track attendance and respond to concerns
• Maintain accurate records and data-driven processes
• Communicate effectively with parents, carers and external agencies to support students
