Job summary

Granville Academy, part of Affinity Learning Partnership, is seeking an Education Welfare Officer to work with the pastoral team to improve attendance, maintain records, and liaise with parents and external agencies to support students in overcoming barriers to attendance. You will hold or work towards an NVQ 3 in Learning and Support services for children (or equivalent).

Strong literacy/numeracy, SIMS experience, and the ability to engage and support young people are essential, with a driving

  • NVQ 3 in Learning and Support services for children or equivalent
  • Experience with SIMS is desirable
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills and ability to relate to young people

Responsibilities

  • Support, improve and maintain high attendance levels in partnership with pastoral team
  • Record, track and analyse attendance data and trends
  • Communicate effectively with senior staff, parents, carers and external agencies
  • Provide a high-quality pastoral service to students to support positive outcomes
