Job summary

St. Peter's C of E Primary Academy in Cleethorpes is seeking an Attendance Officer to record and monitor attendance and support school strategies by working with staff to reduce absence.

You will routinely monitor the attendance of vulnerable pupils and investigate absence, developing initiatives with school staff to promote regular attendance. The role also involves liaising with families and partner agencies, gathering evidence for reports, and preparing court reports when required.

Qualifications

• Experience recording and monitoring student attendance in a school context.
• Ability to analyse attendance data and identify at-risk pupils.
• Experience working with families and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Record and monitor attendance in line with DfE requirements.
• Investigate absence and develop initiatives to promote regular attendance.
• Liaise with families and external agencies to support attendance improvement.
• Prepare reports for Senior Leadership Team and Court where required.
• Manage a caseload including complex cases of disadvantaged students.
