Job summary

Quarry Bank Primary School is seeking an Attendance Officer to join a friendly, established team. You will focus on improving student attendance and engagement, and will work with pupils, families and staff to support consistent attendance.

The role is permanent, part-time, 39 weeks per year, 23 hours per week, with morning and afternoon slots. The position requires commitment, reliability and safeguarding awareness, with DBS checks and Right to Work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• To ensure student attendance, having an innovative approach to improving & sustaining attendance throughout school
• Monitor and report on whole-school attendance data, analysing data and trends to identify key areas of concern
• To work closely with pupils, staff, parents, and carers to reduce levels of absence, and act appropriately when persistent absence becomes a safeguarding issue
• Craft individualised attendance plans and provide support as appropriate
• To identify any safeguarding issue in line with the school procedures
