Job summary

Sacred Heart Catholic Academy in Grimsby is seeking a dedicated Attendance Support Officer to work with pupils, families and external agencies to improve attendance and wellbeing. You will help identify barriers, promote pupil welfare, and support safeguarding practices in line with school policies.

The role will contribute to the academy's statutory duties around attendance, safeguarding and inclusion, and you may be asked to undertake other duties commensurate with the grade.

Job description

Job purpose:

To support the school in strengthening relationships with pupils, families and external agencies through the provision of early intervention, attendance support and safeguarding practices. The post holder will work proactively to identify and address barriers to attendance, promote pupil welfare and engagement, and contribute to improving attendance outcomes across the school. The role will support the school's statutory duties in relation to attendance, safeguarding and inclusion.

You will be expected to comply with any reasonable request from the headteacher to undertake work of a similar level that is not specified in this job description.
