Mangotsfield School is seeking an Attendance-focused Higher Level Teaching Assistant to work with the Attendance Team, Pastoral Leaders and Heads of Year. The role involves running targeted small-group and 1:1 sessions to remove barriers to attendance and re-engage students with their learning.

You will work closely with parents, carers and external agencies, using data to identify attendance targets and track progress, with a focus on supporting emotional wellbeing and engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in an educational or pastoral setting.
• GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above.
• Strong communication and organisational skills; engage with students, carers, and external services.
• Desirable: training in attendance support strategies or wellbeing interventions, plus experience with attendance tracking systems.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate and deliver targeted interventions to improve attendance.
• Plan and run individual and small-group sessions to remove barriers to attendance.
• Use attendance data to identify targets, track trends, and measure impact of programmes.
• Maintain accurate attendance logs and databases; assist with attendance administration.
