Job summary

Oasis Academy Mayfield is seeking a dedicated Family Liaison Officer to support students with EBSA and lead attendance interventions. You will work with families, academy staff and external agencies to deliver bespoke pastoral support and reintegration plans.

The role focuses on building positive relationships, improving attendance and wellbeing, and enabling successful engagement with education. This is a term-time, full-time position within the Attendance Team.

Qualifications

GCSE English and Maths (C/4 or above) or equivalent.
Experience in pastoral, family support, education, youth work or community-based role.
Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection and attendance processes.

Responsibilities

Support students experiencing EBSA through mentoring and attendance interventions.
Build partnerships between the academy, families and external support services.
Deliver targeted interventions, breakfast clubs and small-group support programmes.
Support parents and carers to engage positively with their child’s education.
Signpost and advocate for families requiring additional support.
Work with attendance, safeguarding, SEND and inclusion teams.
Monitor student progress and contribute to attendance improvement strategies.
Support induction of new students and families into the academy community.
