Job summary

TimePlan Education is seeking an experienced School Attendance Officer for a secondary school in Hillingdon. You will monitor pupil attendance, follow up absences promptly and maintain clear records to support better attendance across the school.

You will communicate with parents and carers and collaborate with staff to drive improvements in attendance and punctuality, ensuring pupils remain on track and supported. The role requires strong organisational and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year's experience as a School Attendance Officer.
• Experience working within a secondary school.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Confident working with students, parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Monitor pupil attendance and identify patterns of absence.
• Follow up absences with prompt, clear communication to parents/ carers.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and reporting.
• Support school leaders in strategies to improve attendance.
