Job summary

Astrea Academy Sheffield is seeking an Attendance Officer to monitor attendance and punctuality, investigate persistent absence, and engage with scholars and families. You will maintain accurate records and work with safeguarding teams to address concerns swiftly.

We value organised, relationship‑focused professionals who can manage multiple priorities, communicate confidently with stakeholders, and uphold safeguarding and care standards across the academy.

Qualifications

• This role requires experience with children or young people and administrative work.
• Excellent communication with scholars, families and colleagues.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with data and IT systems is essential.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare.

Responsibilities

• Monitor attendance patterns and investigate persistent absence.
• Engage with families and conduct home visits when needed.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting systems.
• Collaborate with academy leaders, pastoral and safeguarding teams.
