Job summary

Flegg High Ormiston Academy is seeking an Attendance Officer to promote excellent attendance and punctuality across the school. You will work closely with pupils, families, and staff to remove barriers to attendance and ensure pupils are safe and engaged in learning.

You will be part of the pastoral team, visiting homes, making calls, and analysing attendance data to target interventions while collaborating with local authorities and services to support vulnerable pupils.

Qualifications

• Experience working with vulnerable children or young people.
• Ability to build relationships with families and external agencies.
• Strong data handling and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote excellent attendance and punctuality across pupils.
• Make contact with families: phone calls, letters, and home visits.
• Analyse attendance data to spot patterns and plan interventions.
• Collaborate with Norfolk County Council, Youth Offending Team, Safer Schools and Social Services.
