Job summary

Ormiston Maritime Academy is seeking an Attendance Officer to join our busy attendance team. You will monitor daily attendance, carry out first-day calls, and support families to remove barriers to education.

The role requires clear communication, resilience and the ability to stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced school environment. You will work closely with students, families and colleagues to improve attendance and outcomes, contributing to our ASPIRE values and helping every child access

Qualifications

• Monitor daily attendance and trigger escalation when needed.
• Conduct first-day calling and follow-up on absence reasons.
• Carry out home visits to support families.
• Collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to remove barriers to education.
• Maintain accurate attendance records with attention to detail.
