Job summary

Little London Academy seeks an Attendance and Family Support Coordinator to improve attendance, safeguard pupils and support families. You will work with pupils, families, staff and external agencies to provide high-quality early help and attendance support.

The role demands excellent communication, strong organisation and the ability to manage a varied caseload to secure positive outcomes for every pupil.

Qualifications

  • 5 GCSEs grade 4/C or equivalent including English and Maths.
  • Strong understanding of attendance procedures and safeguarding.
  • Experience supporting children, families and schools to remove barriers to learning.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and agencies.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and record-keeping; manage a caseload.

Attendance and Family Support Coordinator

Little London Academy is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and committed Attendance and Family Support Coordinator to play a key role in improving attendance, supporting families and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our pupils.

The successful candidate will work closely with pupils, families, academy staff and external agencies to provide high-quality attendance, safeguarding and early help support. They will be passionate about making a difference to the lives of children and young people, building positive relationships with families and helping to remove barriers to learning and engagement. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is committed to supporting children and families and who shares our determination to ensure every pupil succeeds.

Potential applicants should have:

  • 5 GCSE's Grade 4/C and above (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics.
  • A strong understanding of attendance procedures, safeguarding and early help support.
  • Experience of working with children, young people and families to overcome barriers to learning and attendance.
  • The ability to build positive and effective relationships with pupils, parents/carers, staff and external agencies to secure positive outcomes.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and record-keeping skills, together with the ability to manage a varied caseload.
