Job summary

Leeds Bradford Airport is looking to recruit Clearance Delivery Officers to support air traffic control operations. The role starts at entry level and involves assisting ATCOs, coordinating with Tower and Radar, and ensuring safe operations.

You will work a 6 on 3 off shift pattern (37 hours per week), require basic MET and aviation knowledge, strong customer service, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. A basic criminal record check and five-year history verification are required.

Qualifications

• Experience working in an ATC environment is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of airport and aircraft operations.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• The CDO provides general assistance to on‑duty ATCOs to ensure safe operations.
• Provide specialist operational support to ATCOs in Tower and Radar positions.
• Provide Clearance Delivery function in VCR in support of the Aerodrome ATCO.
• Liaise with other operational departments.
• Provide MET observations and dissemination via METCOM.
• Maintain currency of MET certification.
• Carry out simulator pilot duties where trained.
• Perform other operational support duties as directed by management.
• Represent the department and Airport with professionalism and customer focus.
• Perform safety duties per LBA Safety Management Manual.

To support the Air traffic Control team, we are looking to recruit Clearance Delivery Officers to join Leeds Bradford Airport, to assist in providing an outstanding and seamless service.

Main Responsibilities

This is an entry line level role into a career in Air Traffic Control

• The CDO is responsible to the Senior CDO for the provision of general assistance to the on duty ATCOs to ensure the safe,
• Provide specialist operational support to the ATCOs in both Tower and Radar positions.
• Provide Clearance Delivery function in VCR in support of the Aerodrome ATCO.
• Liaise with other operational departments.
• Provide Meteorological observations and dissemination via the METCOM.
• Maintain currency of MET certification.
• Carry out simulator pilot duties where trained.
• Other Operational Support Assistant duties as directed by management.
• To maintain the highest possible standards, professionalism and customer focus when representing the department and the Airport.
• Performing safety duties in accordance with the LBA Safety Management Manual.
