Job summary

Marshall Group in Cambridge is seeking an additional Air Traffic Controller (ATCO) to join our airport operations. You will provide Tower, Radar, and Approach services for a mix of military and civilian aircraft, contributing to a safe and efficient operational environment.

The role requires holding UK CAA ATC license with ADI rating, UK Class 3 medical certificate, and Level 6 English proficiency. Desirable APP rating and related qualifications are noted.

Qualifications

  • Hold UK CAA Air Traffic Controller license with ADI rating.
  • Hold (or obtain) UK Class 3 medical certificate.
  • ATCO Level 6 English language proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe, orderly and expeditious flow of ATC services to all aircraft operating under IFR and VFR near Cambridge City Airport.
  • De-conflict aircraft from vehicles and ground obstructions while complying with CAP 493 and local instructions.

Why join Marshall in this role? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Marshall as an additional Air Traffic Controller (ATCO) at our airport in Cambridge. As an ATCO at Marshall, you’ll play a vital role in the safe and efficient movement of a diverse range of military and civilian aircraft. Working as part of a small, highly motivated team, you’ll provide Tower, Radar and Approach services, gaining valuable experience across a varied and engaging operational environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and motivated air traffic controller looking to develop their skills, broaden their experience and progress their career within a supportive and professional team.

Responsibilities

As an ATCO you will provide a safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of ATC services to all aircraft operating under Instrument & Visual flights rules when arriving, departing, or operating in the vicinity of Cambridge City Airport, de-conflict aircraft from vehicles and other obstructions on the ground while operating at all times within the limitations of their ATC license. You will ensure that all services are provided in conformance with CAA Regulatory Standards and local Cambridge City Airport instructions including CAP 493 (MATS Part 1), MATS Part 2, the Cambridge City Airport Safety Management System, and all other documentation to assure the initial and on-going safety of ATC Operations.

Qualifications
  • Hold a UK CAA Air Traffic Controller’s license with ADI rating and ideally APS rating and must validate this at Cambridge as part of their continued employment.
  • Hold (or obtain) a UK Class 3 medical certificate.
  • ATCO Level 6 English language proficiency.
Desirable
  • APP rating.
  • Met Observers Qualification.
  • To have validated ATCO Class G Airspace experience.
