Job summary

Sidney Stringer Academy in Coventry is seeking an Associate Teacher to support staff and students by delivering lessons, supervising activities, and assisting with lunchtime, break duties, and after-school clubs.

You will participate in the House tutorial programme as a co-tutor and help run enrichment activities, contributing to a positive learning environment and high standards of pupil achievement.

Qualifications

• At least 5 GCSEs, Post 16+ higher qualifications.
• High expectations of personal performance and of pupils’ success.
• Experience of resolving problems and handling challenging situations.
• Solid communication skills and the ability to successfully manage classroom behaviour and focus.
• Ability to establish and maintain good professional relationships with adults and young people and to deal with difficult situations sensitively.

Responsibilities

• Provide cover supervision and in-class support to learning activities.
• Assisting with lunchtime supervision and after school and break duties as part of the rota.
• Contribute to after-school enrichment activities and co-tutor the House tutorial programme.
