Job summary

DCL Consulting Engineers in Central London is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer at Associate level with a clear path to Executive Director. You will lead structural projects, guide teams and manage client relationships in a growing practice.

The successful candidate will combine strong technical delivery with leadership, business development and mentorship of graduate and project engineers to shape the future growth of the firm.

Qualifications

• Chartered MIStructE and MICE.
• Strong technical and project management experience.
• Experience delivering projects independently from inception to completion.
• Experience managing and mentoring less experienced engineers.
• Strong client-facing and communication skills.
• Commercially aware with an understanding of consultancy business.
• Ambition to progress into a senior leadership/Executive Director role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage structural engineering projects from inception through to completion.
• Provide technical leadership and engineering guidance across projects.
• Manage, mentor and develop graduate and project engineers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects and contractors.
• Contribute to business development and the generation of new work. Introducing new clients to our business we see as pivotal to the role.
• Prepare fee proposals, tenders and scopes of service.
• Assist with project and commercial management, including fees, resources and programmes.
• Work with the Directors on the strategic growth and development of DCL Consulting Engineers Ltd.
