We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Solicitor (Associate level) with 4-8 years’ PQE to join our award-winning catastrophic injury team.

We are one of the fastest growing serious injury teams in the country and have received extensive recognition. The team is ranked in both Chambers and Legal 500 and have had multiple short listings at the PI Awards.

You will handle a caseload made up of high value multi track claims and be assisting Partners with catastrophic injury claims including brain injury, spinal cord injury and amputation. You will be joining a supportive team with a national and growing presence in the serious injury field.

More senior fee earners will also assist in the supervision of more junior fee earners, delegating appropriate work to trainees and supporting on large complex matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing a case load of serious injury claims with Partner supervision, and in some cases, Partner led.
  • Attending clients at Hospitals and in their homes.
  • Ensuring excellent client care and outcomes and good organizational skills in file management.
  • Maintaining relationships with referrers, experts and counsel.
  • Providing excellent service to clients in line with the firm’s core values.
  • Taking a proactive approach to business development including being involved with charity partners where supporting their aims and fundraising will be encouraged.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • A minimum of 4 years’ post qualification experience working in serious injury within a law firm.
  • Proven experience of dealing with serious injury claims.
  • A rehabilitation focused approach including a solid understanding of the Rehabilitation Code and Serious Injury Guide.
  • A willingness and enthusiasm to get involved in business development activities, and ideally able to demonstrate a proven track record of success in this area.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A desire to exceed client expectations.
  • A high degree of initiative and the ability to cope in a demanding environment.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritising skills.
  • The ability to work in a busy team.
  • A desire to enhance client relationships through day-to-day activity.
