Job summary

Social Security Scotland is seeking an Associate Security Architect to join the Security Architecture Team within the Digital Risk & Security Branch, safeguarding critical services and citizen data across the organisation.

You will design and maintain secure architectures with a focus on AWS, apply security-by-design principles, and ensure compliance with public sector security standards throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and maintaining secure architectures.
• Strong focus on AWS cloud environments and security-by-design principles.
• Knowledge of public sector security standards and development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Design and support secure systems and services by applying security architecture principles.
• Advise delivery teams and ensure controls are proportionate and standards-aligned.
