Job summary

R&D Partners is seeking an Associate Scientist / Research Scientist to drive upstream process development for biologics in a laboratory setting within the Drug Substance Process Sciences team. You will work on early-stage development, scale-up, tech transfer, and manufacturing support using advanced cell culture, high-throughput platforms, and bioreactors from micro to pilot scale.

The role offers exposure to automation, DoE, and QbD within GMP-like environments, with emphasis on data integrity

Qualifications

MSc in a related field or BSc with industrial experience.
Experience in mammalian cell culture and biologics process development.
Experience with DoE and statistical data analysis tools.
Experience with automation, digital tools, and data management systems.

Responsibilities

Design, plan, and execute upstream process development studies.
Apply QbD and DoE approaches to optimisation and characterisation.
Perform mammalian cell culture experiments using shake flasks, Ambr systems, and lab-scale bioreactors.
Support scale-up, technology transfer, and manufacturing support activities.
Utilise automation and high-throughput technologies to improve workflow.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
