Associate Quantity Surveyor

I’m recruiting for an exceptional opportunity with an industry-leading SME Cost Consultancy that is seeking an Associate Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. This role offers the chance to work on major commercial schemes valued over £50 million and truly make an impact in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver comprehensive quantity surveying services throughout the project lifecycle, including both pre- and post-contract phases.
  2. Collaborate with project teams to ensure effective cost management and financial control on high-profile projects.
  3. Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost plans, particularly for schemes over £50 million.
  4. Conduct risk assessments and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  5. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors.
  6. Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.

Requirements:

  1. MRICS with at least 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry.
  2. Proven track record in quantity surveying, particularly on major commercial schemes with values exceeding £50 million.
  3. Strong experience in both pre- and post-contract quantity surveying.
  4. In-depth knowledge of construction contracts and procurement methods.
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
