Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Manchester is seeking an Associate in Programme Management and Programme Management Office delivery to lead key capital programmes (£100‑£300m+) across sectors such as Central Government, Industrial and Life Sciences.

You will drive programme strategy, governance, risk and financial management, while mentoring teams and building trusted client partnerships to realise benefits and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in programme management, including large-scale real estate transformation programmes (£100-£300m+) with benefits delivery.
• Ability to prioritise complex programmes and manage lifecycle stages.
• Project delivery background with progression into programme delivery within a construction environment.
• Experience in large multidisciplinary teams including project controls, technical and commercial groups.
• Understanding of NEC/JCT contracts and project controls methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Programme Delivery & Leadership: Take ownership of delivering to the programme vision and direction.
• Assurance Framework: Maintain and deliver frameworks for robust management and control.
• Commission Management & Business Development: Deliver commercial management and client partnerships.
• Stakeholder Strategy & Engagement: Ensure structured engagement across senior stakeholders.
• Financial Management: Implement robust financial governance and reporting.
• Risk & Health & Safety: Identify and mitigate risks, drive safety culture.
• People & Culture: Mentor teams and drive inclusion and growth.
