Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Associate Director to lead major capital programmes across sectors including Central Government, Industrial and Life Sciences. You will shape programme strategy, manage governance, and lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex outcomes with strong client partnerships.

You will drive value through robust financial management, risk control, and proactive stakeholder engagement, ensuring benefits realisation and alignment with the business case.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering complex transformation/real estate programmes (£100-£300m+) with tangible benefits.
• Ability to prioritise and optimise complex programmes across lifecycle.
• Strong project delivery background with progression into programme delivery management.
• Experience leading large multidisciplinary teams including project management, controls, technical and commercial teams.
• Understanding of construction delivery models, procurement routes and contracts (NEC, JCT).
• Experience presenting data to influence outcomes at senior client levels.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of shaping, embedding, and communicating programme vision and direction.
• Maintain and deliver robust governance and control frameworks for the programme.
• Lead commercial and contractual management of commissions with client satisfaction
• Create structured stakeholder engagement and decision-making frameworks.
• Develop robust processes to manage financial aspects and governance of the programme.
• Identify and mitigate health and safety risks; champion safety and compliance.
• Mentor teams, drive inclusion, and develop internal talent.
