The UCL Arts and Sciences (UASc) department hosts the Bachelor of Arts and Sciences (BASc), the UK's leading interdisciplinary degree covering arts, social sciences, and sciences. The programme combines broad interdisciplinary study with specialization options and has a successful track record of graduates progressing to prestigious postgraduate programs and careers in leading organizations.
The degree structure includes a Core curriculum and four Pathways: Cultures, Science and Engineering, Sciences and Engineering, and Societies. Students select a major and minor pathway, with specific combinations as outlined.
We seek an Associate Professor with expertise in global management, capable of contributing to our modules and research with a focus on interdisciplinarity, including:
The successful candidate will co-convene key dissertation modules, develop new interdisciplinary modules, and serve as a Personal Academic Tutor for students on the Societies pathway. They will also conduct world-leading research, publish high-quality outputs, secure grants, develop networks, supervise PhD students, and seek funding opportunities.
This position is based at the Bloomsbury campus, with potential travel to UCL East. It is full-time, starting from 9 August 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter, and eligible for sponsorship under UK visa legislation.
Applicants must hold a PhD in an interdisciplinary area relevant to global management, with proven teaching, curriculum development, and research experience, including publications, grants, and leadership in research teams. Experience working across sciences, humanities, and social sciences, and mentoring students, is required.
