Position Overview

Super Rare Games is an independent video game publisher passionate about great games and the people who make them. We work with talented developers to bring exciting indie games to players worldwide across physical and digital platforms.

We’re looking for an organized, proactive Associate Producer with a keen eye for detail and a passion for games to support our Publishing team in coordinating developers, platform holders and internal teams, helping games progress smoothly from development and QA through to submission, release and post-release.

Key responsibilities:

1. Platform Setup and Publishing Delivery

  • Coordinate product setup across relevant platforms, including Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch 1 and 2, Xbox, Apple and Google.
  • Coordinate build uploads, platform submissions and supporting assets, information and documentation, ensuring everything is accurate and available when required.
  • Track submissions and coordinate post-approval activities through to release.
  • Work with Marketing and QA to align platform pages, assets, build requirements, testing and release timings.

2. Project and Milestone Management

  • Maintain project schedules, milestone plans, budget tracking and progress reports, helping ensure deliverables meet agreed deadlines and budgets.
  • Track dependencies, outstanding actions and deadlines, following up with relevant stakeholders to keep projects moving.
  • Coordinate localisation and translation deliverables to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Maintain accurate, accessible project documentation and status updates, identifying delays, gaps and risks early.
  • Work with the Producer and relevant stakeholders to resolve issues and agree practical next steps.

3. Build and Milestone Feedback

  • Review milestone builds and accompanying information to check that agreed deliverables have been supplied.
  • Identify missing information, incomplete deliverables and issues requiring clarification before milestones can progress.
  • Provide clear, constructive and actionable feedback, tracking follow-up actions to ensure issues are addressed.
  • Escalate significant quality, delivery or scope concerns to the Producer.

4. QA Coordination

  • Coordinate incoming builds with QA, ensuring testing priorities, resources and deadlines are managed effectively.
  • Maintain regular communication about build availability, testing progress, outstanding issues and upcoming requirements.
  • Help resolve day-to-day blockers by gathering information, coordinating stakeholders and following up on actions.
  • Liaise with external partners to clarify issues and support resolution, keeping the Producer informed of risks to timelines, quality or release readiness.

5. Developer and Partner Relationships

  • Support clear, professional communication with developers and external partners, ensuring expectations, responsibilities, deadlines and next steps are understood.
  • Follow up on outstanding deliverables, questions and actions, maintaining positive and collaborative working relationships.
  • Share relevant information with internal teams to ensure alignment and a consistent understanding of project status.
  • Recognise when issues require additional support and elevate them appropriately.
What we're looking for:
  • 2–3 years' experience in games production, publishing, project coordination or a related role.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines and dependencies.
  • Excellent attention to detail when handling platform requirements, builds, submissions and project documentation.
  • Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to produce daily, weekly and monthly reports and communicate project progress effectively.
  • Confidence following up with internal teams and external partners to obtain information and keep work on track.
  • A proactive, practical approach to problem-solving, with the ability to identify issues and recommend next steps.
  • Understanding of project schedules, milestones, deliverables and budget tracking.
  • Ability to work independently within defined responsibilities and recognise when to seek guidance or elevate concerns.
  • A genuine love of video games and an understanding of the indie games landscape.
  • Experience with digital publishing platforms, including Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, PlayStation, Nintendo, Xbox, Apple or Google.
  • Familiarity with build uploads, platform submissions, certification requirements and release processes.
  • Experience coordinating QA, localisation or external development partners.
  • Experience reviewing milestone builds and providing structured feedback.
  • Familiarity with project management tools, trackers and documentation.
  • Understanding of how development, QA, localisation, Marketing and release planning work together.
What success looks like:
  • Project schedules, milestone records, budgets and outstanding actions are accurate and up to date.
  • Builds, localisation deliverables and platform submissions are coordinated against agreed timelines.
  • QA and Marketing receive the information they need to plan and deliver their work effectively.
  • Developers and external partners understand requirements, deadlines and next steps.
  • Delays, missing deliverables and risks are identified and raised early.
