Job description

Location: London / Hybrid Position
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Position Overview

Super Rare Games is an independent video game publisher passionate about bringing great games to players. We work with talented developers to publish physical editions of indie games and release exciting digital titles through our Originals publishing programme.

Our Creative team brings these games to life through distinctive packaging, physical products, digital artwork and marketing assets. We’re looking for a Junior Graphic Designer Coordinator to provide essential day-to-day creative and production support across both our physical Classics and digital Originals releases.

The role

This entry-level role combines straightforward design work with artwork coordination, proofing administration and print production support, with an approximate 50:50 split between design and administration.

Working closely with the Creative Director and wider Creative team, you’ll support projects ranging from physical game packaging and printed products to digital store assets and promotional artwork. You’ll take ownership of straightforward design requests while keeping artwork organised, tracking approvals and preparing files for review, production and release.

This role would suit someone with a good eye for detail, strong organisational and communication skills, and an enthusiasm for learning both the creative and practical sides of design.

Key responsibilities
  • Complete straightforward design requests and adapt existing artwork for different formats, platforms and promotional requirements.
  • Support larger campaigns by preparing assets, formatting artwork and developing layouts, presentations and mock-ups.
  • Follow established brand guidelines, creative direction and file specifications.
2. Physical product artwork and packaging
  • Support artwork creation and preparation for physical game editions, packaging and printed materials.
  • Adapt approved layouts across product formats and prepare production-ready files for print and manufacturing.
  • Coordinate physical proofs, samples, colour checks and artwork revisions.
  • Gather supplier specifications and technical guidelines, and maintain organised archives of packaging artwork and release files.
3. Artwork and proofing administration
  • Upload current artwork to Teamwork for review and approval, ensuring the correct versions are available.
  • Track feedback, revisions, outstanding approvals and deadlines, following up with relevant colleagues where necessary.
  • Maintain consistent file naming, version control and organised libraries of creative assets.
  • Ensure approved artwork is correctly recorded, archived and accessible.
  • Flag missing files, conflicting versions, outstanding feedback and potential production issues to the Creative Director or relevant team member.
4. Print and production support
  • Request and gather quotations from printers, manufacturers and external production partners, comparing costs and lead times for review by the team.
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding specifications, pricing, artwork queries and technical requirements.
  • Coordinate the ordering, delivery and receipt of proofs and samples, including colour checks where required.
  • Prepare files to supplier specifications, maintain organised production records and help resolve straightforward production issues, escalating more complex concerns appropriately.
  • Create smaller digital design assets and adapt approved artwork for storefronts, social channels and promotional campaigns.
  • Resize and format assets to meet different platform specifications and placement requirements.
  • Support larger campaigns through asset preparation and production assistance.
  • Maintain organised digital asset libraries, ensuring current files are easy to locate and delivered to agreed deadlines.
6. Team and project support
  • Assist the Creative Director and Creative team with coordinating creative projects, tracking tasks, deadlines and outstanding actions.
  • Keep project information and files accurate, organised and accessible.
  • Communicate progress clearly, flag delays or competing priorities, and follow up on outstanding tasks.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Production and other teams to support the successful delivery of releases.
  • Complete assigned work accurately, independently where appropriate, and to the required standard.
What we’re looking for
  • A genuine interest in graphic design, creative production and video games.
  • Experience with graphic design, artwork preparation or creative projects, gained through education or employment.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple straightforward tasks and deadlines.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive, practical approach and willingness to follow up on outstanding tasks.
  • Confidence asking questions, seeking feedback and learning new processes.
  • A reliable and collaborative working style, with the ability to work independently on clearly defined tasks.
  • An interest in physical products, packaging, print production or digital creative assets.
  • Familiarity with packaging layouts, print specifications, mock-ups or production-ready files.
  • Basic video Editing skills
  • Knowledge of Shopify and Squarespace

  • Artwork is organised, correctly versioned and readily available for review.
  • Proofing feedback, amendments and approvals are tracked and passed to the right people.
  • Final approved artwork is correctly archived and ready for production or release.
