Evotec SE, via its Cyprotex unit, is recruiting for an Associate Principal Scientist, HT-Analytical Method Development to join the Analytical Sciences team based at Alderley Park. The role focuses on high-throughput LC-MS/LC-MS/MS method development for non-standard compounds across ADME projects, with emphasis on robust documentation and regulatory compliance.

• Minimum BSc in relevant scientific discipline covering chemistry.
• Extensive experience of developing robust bioanalytical methods using LC-MS workflows.
• Produce accurate documentation and report all method development activities with high quality and compliance.
• Highly motivated team player with dedication.
• Plan, schedule and carry out work for timely project completion.
• Experience with LC-MS/MS for pre-clinical small/large molecules.
• Experience with MassLynx Analyst/Sciex OS or related software.
• Broad knowledge of analytical support in drug discovery/development.
• Knowledge of DMPK/ADME assays in drug discovery.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance/troubleshooting on LC-MS/MS.

We are currently recruiting for a Associate Principal Scientist, HT-Analytical Method Development to join our Analytical Sciences team based in Alderley Park.

Role: Associate Principal Scientist (High Throughput ADME Method Development)

Role Type: Permanent

Responsible for: Junior team members, as may be assigned

Working hours: Full time, 9am-5pm, Monday - Friday (37.5 hours per week)

As a result of year-on-year success within the company and continued business growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team of highly skilled scientists in our High-Throughput Analytical laboratories.

Role and Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct Method Development projects (using LC-MS or LC-MS/MS) for non standard client compounds (including difficult small molecules and diverse chemical modalities) that are proposed to run through a range of ADME assays
• Perform and document fit for purpose method qualification studies for relevant regulatory DDI projects
• To be a senior point of contact both internally and externally, for project related communication on a range of assigned method development projects,
• To collaborate with scientists from beyond the Analytical team in order to understand the context of application of methods
• Ensure that all errors and erroneous results are reported and corrected with minimal delay.
• To keep up to date with relevant scientific advances and regulatory guidelines in the field of Analytical Sciences.
• Ensure all laboratory equipment and work areas are kept clean and in proper working order on completion of assigned tasks.
• To ensure accurate and complete documentation of all activities as required by relevant SOPs and Quality policies.
• To keep up to date with future technologies/instrumentation establishing benefits and implementation for HT-Analytical Method Development
• As a Senior member of the Analytical team influence the direction and investment in analytical capabilities.

Skills & Competencies (essential)

• Minimum BSc in relevant scientific discipline covering chemistry with experience of working within industry
• Extensive experience of developing robust bioanalytical methods using relevant compound handling, sample preparation and LC-MS workflows.
• Produce accurate documentation and report all method development activities and results in a clear and coherent manner, maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance, with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work without close supervision.
• Highly motivated team player with a high level of dedication.
• Plan, schedule and carry out your work effectively for successful project completion to tight deadlines.
• Experience in working with LC-MS/MS techniques in support of pre-clinical small/largemolecule assays.
• Experience with MassLynx™ Analyst™ Sciex OS or other Mass Spectrometry data-acquisition software packages.
• A wider knowledge of analytical support in drug discovery/development.
• A knowledge of DMPK/ADME assays within drug discovery.
• The ability to perform routine maintenance/troubleshoot on LC-MS/MS equipment

People

• Coach, mentor and line manage other members of the team meetings, regular 1 to1 discussions and ad hoc interactions.
