Job summary

GIC Private Limited in London is seeking a Portfolio Implementation professional on a 12-month contract to support new strategies, transitions, and benchmark changes within the Public Equities team. The role requires coordinating IPOs and placements, plus ongoing trade and cash monitoring to ensure compliant execution.

A strong academic background is expected; advanced Excel skills are essential, and Python/SQL with Tableau/Power BI are a plus for analytics and visualization tasks.

Qualifications

• Strong academic background or equivalent practical experience.
• Knowledge of Public Equities and equity markets/instruments preferred.
• Proficient in MS Excel; MS Office proficiency overall.
• Able to manage multiple tasks with initiative and organization.

• Nice to have: Python, SQL and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).

Responsibilities

• Provide portfolio implementation support: set up new strategies and portfolios, implement transitions and benchmark changes.
• Coordinate IPO and placement processes, including pre-trade reservations and allocations; collaborate with the Deal team on non-standard deals.
• Assist with trade and portfolio monitoring such as cash monitoring and expected funding.
• Support Portfolio Managers with pre-funding, governance, investment guidelines, and order generation.
• Work with trading, risk, audit, legal and compliance to resolve front office issues and roadblocks.
• Attend to ad hoc requests from Portfolio Managers related to performance and exposure analytics.
• Participate in process and system improvements, including requirements, UAT, and deployments.

We are looking for a suitable candidate to join our Portfolio Implementation team on a 12 month contract.

Responsibilities

• Provide portfolio implementation support, including setting up new strategies and portfolios, implementing transitions such as client injections/withdrawals and portfolio restructurings, and executing benchmark changes.
• Coordinate IPO and placement processes, including pre-trade reservations and allocations; collaborate with the Deal team on non-standard deals.
• Assist with trade and portfolio monitoring such as cash monitoring and expected funding for certain transactions.
• Ensure smooth implementation of Portfolio Managers' orders by supporting areas such as setting up new products/instruments, performing pre-funding, clearing governance/investment guidelines, meeting regulatory and compliance requirements and order generation.
• Work with other departments (including trading, risk, audit, legal and compliance) to resolve front office issues and potential roadblocks arising from markets, operational, risk and compliance considerations.
• Attend to other ad hoc requests from the Portfolio Managers, which can be performance and exposure analytics related.
• Participate in process and system improvements initiatives including working with stakeholders on requirements, performing UAT, and coordinating deployments.

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?

• Strong academic background or equivalent practical experience
• Knowledge of and interest in Public Equities and Equity markets/instruments will be preferred.
• Good working knowledge with MS Office, in particular MS Excel.
• High level of initiative, meticulous and well-organized, comfortable managing multiple tasks.
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
• A strong team player with good communication skills and is confident to engage different stakeholders independently.
• Good to have: Proficiency in data analytics tools (Python, SQL) and data visualization software (Tableau, Power BI).
