Carrington West is seeking an Associate Partner to oversee large-scale transport planning projects across the UK. You will mentor teams, advise clients, and contribute to strategic growth while ensuring delivery excellence and strong client relationships. The role may include acting as an Expert Witness when requested.

You will lead multi-disciplinary teams, manage budgets and risks, and promote excellent practice through industry engagement and business development.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in development-related transport planning and leading large, complex projects.
• Chartered membership of a relevant professional institution (CIHT/TPS/CILT).
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, resources, and budgets.
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to guide across teams.
• Excellent client relationship management and strategic advisory capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage large, complex transport planning projects with multiple workstreams.
• Act as a trusted advisory to clients and stakeholders on strategy and delivery.
• Conduct negotiations with stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks to maintain delivery standards.
• Provide troubleshooting and guidance within the team; mentor staff; support business development.
• May act as Expert Witness when required on technical matters.
