Job summary

Pick Everard in Sheffield is seeking an Associate Building Services Engineer (Mechanical) to join our national team. You will work on diverse portfolios across private and public sectors, delivering designs and technical documents while mentoring junior engineers.

The role requires strong HVAC design skills, knowledge of UK Building Regulations and Low/Zero Carbon technologies, and proficiency with IES, Hevacomp, AutoCAD; Revit MEP is desirable. A proactive, collaborative approach is essential.

Qualifications

• HND/Degree in Building Services Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
• Security clearance to work on secure projects with no restrictions.
• Extensive experience in mechanical building services/HVAC design.
• Proficiency with IES, Hevacomp, AutoCAD; Revit MEP is desirable.
• Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and Low/Zero Carbon Technologies.
• Understanding of construction design processes and procurement.
• Proven design skills across multiple sectors.

Responsibilities

• Deliver portfolios of work across public and private sectors, managing contracts.
• Prepare designs, feasibility studies, technical reports, and contract documents.
• Carry out building analysis and provide system design calculations.
• Liaise directly with clients and contractors.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and to scope, quality and budget.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
• Conform with Health & Safety requirements.
