Job summary

NIQ is seeking a skilled Marketing Research professional to support studies from pre-field planning through data analysis and client reporting. You will help craft questionnaires, design samples, and coach junior analysts while delivering clear, actionable insights.

You will present results to clients, ensure timely delivery, and contribute to the development of strategic industry trends within a fast-paced, digitally enabled environment.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Marketing, Economics or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 5 years’ experience in Marketing Research.
  • Strong analytical mind and numerical skills.
  • Knowledge of advanced analysis, methods, and tools.
  • Good organisational and people coaching skills.

Responsibilities

  • Discuss test designs and write proposals for simple projects.
  • Assist in pre-field project setup (questionnaire prep, sample composition, database design).
  • Consult with clients regarding study queries.
  • Coach junior analysts on projects.
  • Support junior analysts in analysis and provide report conclusions and recommendations.
  • Review and finalize reports with strong storytelling.
  • Prepare and present study results to clients in-person or virtually.
  • Drive client satisfaction with insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Develop strategic understanding of industry trends and NIQ opportunities.
  • Ensure services meet client needs and quality standards.

About this role

To assist with the preparation & the execution of marketing research studies by supporting the pre-field part of the project, and then compiling, analyzing, and interpreting marketing research data, writing client reports, and constructing/ delivering presentations

To coach junior analysts (where relevant) on projects and to help build their confidence & expertise.

Accountabilities

  • Discusses test designs, and writes proposals for simple projects
  • Assists in pre-field project set up (for example: questionnaire preparation, sample composition, database design)
  • Consults with clients regarding general study queries
  • Coaches more junior analysts in the development of their projects
  • Supports more junior analysts in the analysis of study data and provides report conclusions and recommendations, with minimal supervision
  • Reviews & finalizes reports with strong story telling skills
  • If relevant, ensures that forecast summaries fit into the report story line adequately
  • Prepares and presents study results to clients in-person or virtually
  • Drives client satisfaction by providing insights and actionable recommendations during presentations
  • Develops strategic understanding of industry trends, competition and opportunities of NielsenIQ
  • Ensure the services provided to clients are timely and precise according to client business needs and specifications while meeting the company's quality standards
  • Good teamwork skills

Requirements

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of statistics, research techniques, and experimental procedures
  • Knowledge of marketing research
  • Knowledge of in-market data

  • Strong Business English knowledge, both verbal and written (and local language if required)

Education and Experience

  • University degree in Marketing, Economics or related field a must, preferred Postgraduate or MBA
  • 5 years’ experience in Marketing Research
