Job summary

NielsenIQ in the United Kingdom is seeking a seasoned Marketing Research Analyst to support pre-field activities, compile and analyze data, write client reports, and deliver presentations. You will coach junior analysts on projects and help build their confidence and expertise.

Responsibilities include discussing test designs, consulting with clients on study queries, finalizing reports with strong storytelling, presenting results, and driving client satisfaction with actionable insights.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Marketing, Economics or related field.
  • Postgraduate or MBA preferred.
  • 5 years' experience in Marketing Research.
  • Strong analytical mind and numerical skills.
  • Knowledge on advanced analysis, methods, and tools.
  • Good organizational skills and people coaching abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and business acumen.

Job Description

About this role

To assist with the preparation & the execution of marketing research studies by supporting the pre-field part of the project, and then compiling, analyzing, and interpreting marketing research data, writing client reports, and constructing/ delivering presentations

To coach junior analysts (where relevant) on projects and to help build their confidence & expertise.

Accountabilities

Discusses test designs, and writes proposals for simple projects

Consults with clients regarding general study queries

Coaches more junior analysts in the development of their projects

Supports more junior analysts in the analysis of study data and provides report conclusions and recommendations, with minimal supervision

Reviews & finalizes reports with strong storytelling skills

If relevant, ensures that forecast summaries fit into the report storyline adequately

Prepares and presents study results to clients in-person or virtually

Drives client satisfaction by providing insights and actionable recommendations during presentations

Develops strategic understanding of industry trends, competition and opportunities of NielsenIQ

Ensure the services provided to clients are timely and precise according to client business needs and specifications while meeting the company's quality standards

Good teamwork skills

Requirements

Knowledge

Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Knowledge of statistics, research techniques, and experimental procedures

Knowledge of marketing research

Knowledge of in-market data

Skills

Strong Business English knowledge, both verbal and written (and local language if required)

Strong business and financial acumen (including business environment and client)

Understanding the principles of forecasting

Strong problem solving skills and analytically curious

Demonstrates strong leadership and people coaching skills

High level communication skills

Education and Experience

University degree in Marketing, Economics or related field a must, preferred Postgraduate or MBA

5 years' experience in Marketing Research

Strong analytical mind and excellent numerical skills

Knowledge on advanced analysis, methods, and tools

Good organizational skills, and strong people coaching skills

Strong interpersonal skills

Business acumen

Awareness of the clients’ needs
