Job summary

BBK College invites applications for an Associate Lecturer to contribute to teaching and student support on a postgraduate module in Linear and Nonlinear Optimization. You will cover topics including linear programming, simplex and interior-point methods, integer programming, nonlinear optimization, Newton and quasi-Newton, Lagrangian/Kuhn–Tucker, QP, and applications.

This fixed-term appointment runs January to April 2027, part-time (3 teaching hours per week, Thursdays 6-9pm) with an hourly

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or supporting students in optimization across the listed topics.
• Excellent grasp of university-level mathematics and statistics.
• Experience supporting students in computational and analytical problem-solving.
• Previous teaching experience in optimization is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Teach and support students on a postgraduate module in Linear and Nonlinear Optimization.
• Contribute to teaching across optimization methods and techniques.
• Assist with assessment and student mentoring.
