Job summary

Birkbeck University of London invites an Associate Lecturer to contribute to teaching and student support on a postgraduate module in Linear and Nonlinear Optimization. Qualifications

• Strong university-level mathematics and statistics understanding.
• Experience supporting students in rigorous computational and analytical problem-solving.
• Teaching or academic experience in optimization is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to teaching and supporting students on a postgraduate module in Linear and Nonlinear Optimization.
• Teach a range of optimization methods and techniques including linear programming, simplex/interior-point methods, and nonlinear optimization.
• Assist with assessment, feedback and examination duties related to the module.
• Provide pastoral and academic support to students pursuing the course.
