Birkbeck University London invites applications for an Associate Lecturer A to deliver the second half of the Quantitative Research Methods module (Level 5) for our BPS-accredited Psychology programme.

The post involves 30 hours of teaching, administration and assessment, with sessions on Monday afternoons (2–5pm) or evenings (6–9pm) in Spring term, starting January. A degree in Psychology and teaching experience with adult HE learners are essential.

Qualifications

• A degree in Psychology.
• Pursuing or completed a PhD in Psychology or related area.
• Relevant teaching experience with adult HE learners.
• Good understanding of needs of full and part-time adult learners and ability to engage them.
• Experience with diverse teaching and assessment methods.

Responsibilities

• Deliver teaching for the second half of the Quantitative Research Methods module.
• Undertake course administration and assessment duties.
• Work with module convenors to plan, deliver and assess the module.
• Prepare and deliver 10 teaching sessions during the Spring term (Jan–Mar).
• Support adult learners and contribute to HE teaching excellence.
