Job summary

Columbia Threadneedle Investments is seeking an Associate Client Manager for the UK & Irish LDI Client Management team. You will support day‑to‑day client relationships, onboarding, and mandate changes, coordinating with Portfolio Managers, Trading, and Operations to ensure accurate execution and regulatory compliance.

The role involves servicing institutional pension clients, preparing materials for meetings, and maintaining audit trails.

Qualifications

• Experience in institutional asset management, pensions, or client servicing
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
• Proficiency in MS Office especially Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Responsibilities

• Act as primary contact for UK and Irish LDI clients, with support from senior team members
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, investment consultants and internal stakeholders
• Respond to client queries promptly ensuring high-quality client experience
• Attend client and trustee meetings and prepare follow-up materials
• Draft, review and coordinate client instructions (cash movements, LDI transactions, collateral)
• Coordinate with Portfolio Managers, Trading, Operations, Legal and other teams for accurate instruction execution
• Support onboarding for new mandates and account openings
• Assist with agreement amendments, fee changes and client documentation
• Monitor service levels and resolve operational issues impacting clients
• Provide cover for Client Manager roles and collaborate across teams
• Identify process improvements and support automation initiatives
• Utilise Salesforce and other systems to enhance productivity
