Job summary

Aon is seeking an Associate Investment Consultant to join the UK Investment Advisory team in a hybrid role based in Leeds City Centre, with other locations considered. You will support consultants in managing client relationships, delivering day-to-day work, and preparing advice for pension schemes and other institutional clients.

You will collaborate with specialist teams to deliver bespoke insights, drive efficiency, and help develop junior colleagues while promoting an inclusive culture

Qualifications

• Experience with a major consulting, fund management or banking firm advising UK occupational pension schemes.
• Knowledge of investment markets and UK pension schemes.
• Good understanding of all main asset classes and their role in meeting client objectives.
• Understanding asset transfer processes.
• Basic understanding of asset-liability management.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Making good progress against CFA or IFoA examinations.
• Desire for a new challenge.

Responsibilities

• Support lead consultants in building and managing client relationships, and oversee day-to-day deliverables.
• Involve in preparing advice for UK defined benefit pension schemes and other institutional clients.
• Collaborate with risk & modelling, investment manager research, and economics specialists to deliver bespoke advice.
• Build relationships with clients and act as day-to-day contact for client teams.
• Coordinate client work and ensure timely delivery to clients or lead consultants.
• Identify opportunities to innovate and drive efficiency.
• Develop junior colleagues into future associate consultants.
