R&D Partners in Scotland is seeking an Associate Engineer to join the System Development Integration team. You will help advance diagnostics instrumentation platform hardware, performing full system tests and supporting cross-disciplinary collaboration.

The role emphasizes data-driven analysis, documentation, and adherence to QMS and regulatory standards; candidates should have a foundational engineering degree and hands-on lab experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or Science discipline
• Foundational experience in product development, technical support, or laboratory test environments
• Hands-on troubleshooting across electronics, software, mechanical, or optical engineering
• Proficiency with data analysis tools (Minitab, Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, Excel)

Responsibilities

• Execute full system testing on IVD instrumentation platform hardware aligned with project goals
• Serve as a technical liaison between hardware engineers and assay scientists
• Analyze technical data using Minitab, Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, or Excel to deliver findings
• Assist in technical investigations and hardware troubleshooting in lab environments
• Create and maintain test protocols, logs, and reports per QMS requirements
• Ensure compliance with ISO 13485, ISO 14971, EN 60601, and EN 61010
• Suggest improvements to test protocols based on testing results
