Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer Building Services to join our growing M&E consultancy. You will design electrical Building Services systems and prepare detailed calculations using industry tools while coordinating with clients and the wider design team.

You will conduct site surveys, write technical notes, and maintain comprehensive records. A degree in Building Services/Electrical Engineering and experience in a consultancy context are preferred; UK

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Services Engineering or related field is required.
• Post-graduate experience in a similar consultancy is preferred.
• UK driving licence is advantageous for site travel.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit is desirable.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word is expected.
• Knowledge of Dialux and Trimble tools is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Understand project briefs and design electrical Building Services systems (power, lighting, life safety, etc.).
• Produce detailed calculations using industry software (Excel, Dialux, Amtech, etc.).
• Represent the company at meetings with clients and contractors.
• Conduct site surveys and monitor works; maintain records per company standards.
• Prepare reports and technical notes; ensure adherence to QA, environmental, and governance processes.

Associate Electrical Engineer Building Services

A local M&E building services engineering consultancy with unparalleled experience in the successful delivery of all forms of projects across the construction and real estate spheres. This organisation have experienced rapid growth in recent years due to their modern and fresh approach. The services on offer range from design, TTD, dilapidations, surveys, NEC 3, decarb studies, technically advisory work and more. They operate across multiple sectors including Education, Commercial, Healthcare and MoD.

Role

• Ensuring an understanding of project briefs. Design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems .
• Design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems - power, earthing, lighting, life safety, telecoms, security, access control, lifts, lightning protection etc.
• Carry out (and managing of others), in the production of detailed calculations using industry standard software tools including Excel, dialux, Amtech, in-house developed tools, etc.
• Representing the organisation at meetings with clients and contractors.
• Site surveys, inspections and monitoring of site works.
• Report and technical note writing.
• Maintaining complete records and archives to company standards.
• Adherence to all quality, environmental and governance processes.

Qualifications/Experience

• Degree qualified, or equivalent qualification, in Building Services Engineering / Electrical Engineering or related subjects.
• Post graduate work experience within a similar consultancy or other relevant business
• Ideally have a full UK driving licence, to enable travel to sites as and when required, either as part of wider design team, or individually
• Experienced in the use of AutoCAD, Revit is ideal
• Experienced in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Experience with Dialux,Trimble
• Use knowledge of electrical systems to carry out electrical building services design
• Have a detailed knowledge of appropriate technical standards.
