Job summary

X4 Group in London is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical design and delivery of complex building services projects from concept through to completion, ensuring technical excellence. You will act as the main technical contact for clients, attend design and project meetings, prepare and review calculations and reports, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Strong background in electrical building services design within a consultancy.
• Knowledge of British Standards and Building Regulations.
• Experience with Revit, Amtech, Dialux/Relux and MS Office.
• Chartered Engineer status or on track towards Chartership is advantageous.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.

I'm currently partnering with a respected Building Services consultancy that is looking to appoint an Associate Electrical Engineer to join its expanding London team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced electrical engineer to take on a leadership role, overseeing the delivery of complex projects, managing key client relationships, and supporting the development of a growing engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the electrical design and delivery of building services projects from concept through to completion.
• Prepare and review technical calculations, specifications, reports, and design documentation.
• Act as the main technical point of contact for clients, attending design and project meetings throughout the project lifecycle.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.
• Help strengthen existing client relationships while identifying opportunities for future business.

Experience and Qualifications Required:

• Strong background in electrical building services design within a consultancy environment.
• In-depth knowledge of British Standards, Building Regulations, and current industry practices.
• Experience using software such as Revit, Amtech, Dialux/Relux, and Microsoft Office.
• Chartered Engineer status, or actively working towards Chartership with CIBSE or IET, is advantageous.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
