You will mentor engineers, manage client relationships, and contribute to the growth of the Manchester office through strategic project leadership. This hybrid role offers autonomy and a clear career path within a growing consultancy.
Location: Manchester
Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time | Hybrid Working
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Associate Electrical Engineer to join the expanding Manchester office of an ambitious and highly regarded building services engineering consultancy.
This is more than simply another Associate-level position. It is an opportunity to join a growing business at an exciting stage of its development, with the autonomy, influence and support to make a genuine impact.
With an established client base, a strong pipeline of projects and ambitious plans for its Manchester operation, the consultancy is looking for an individual who can combine technical excellence with commercial awareness, client relationship management and a genuine desire to help develop a successful engineering team.
For an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer ready to take the next step, or an established Associate seeking greater influence and responsibility, this represents an excellent long-term career opportunity.
Our client is a progressive, multidisciplinary building services consultancy with a reputation for delivering high-quality engineering solutions across a diverse range of sectors.
Projects range from traditional building services schemes to larger, technically demanding and complex developments, ensuring an excellent variety of engineering challenges.
As an Associate Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in the continued development of the Manchester office, taking responsibility for the technical and commercial delivery of projects while helping to grow the electrical engineering capability.
You will have the opportunity to influence how the team develops, strengthen existing client relationships, identify new opportunities and contribute directly to the future success of the business.
Importantly, this is an environment where decisions can be made quickly, individual contributions are recognised and ambitious engineers have the opportunity to progress as the business grows.
We are interested in speaking with established Associate Electrical Engineers or ambitious Principal Electrical Engineers who are ready to take on greater leadership and commercial responsibility.
A degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
Chartered Engineer status would be advantageous, although individuals with equivalent experience and a strong track record will also be considered.
A growing Manchester office: Join at an important stage of the office's development, with the opportunity to influence its growth, structure and future direction.
Genuine leadership and autonomy: Take ownership of projects, develop client relationships and contribute to key business decisions rather than simply operating within an established corporate structure.
Long-term career progression: An opportunity to develop towards Senior Associate or Director level as the business continues to expand.
Client-led rather than geographically led: Work with established clients across the UK, offering greater project variety and the opportunity to build meaningful, long-term relationships.
Interesting and complex projects: Enjoy a diverse portfolio of work, combining traditional building services engineering with larger, technically challenging developments.
Commercial involvement: Play an active role in business development, client management and the strategic growth of the electrical engineering discipline.
A business where you can make a difference: Join a consultancy where your ideas, expertise and contribution will be recognised, with the opportunity to help shape a growing engineering team.
Hybrid and flexible working: Benefit from a flexible working environment that recognises the importance of balancing professional responsibilities with life outside work.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an ambitious consultancy where you can help build something, rather than simply become part of something already established.
