Job summary

Beeby Anderson Recruitment is assisting a leading engineering consultancy in London to appoint an Associate Electrical Engineer. You will lead electrical design on complex UK and international projects across commercial, residential, education, healthcare and industrial sectors.

You will mentor junior engineers, ensure compliance with British Standards, and liaise with clients and architects to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified.
• Minimum of 10 years’ UK experience in electrical design engineering within the building services industry.
• Ideally Chartered Engineer status.
• Knowledge and experience of British Standards and relevant codes of practice.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design on complex and large-scale UK and International projects across sectors.
• Manage the delivery of electrical design solutions in line with British Standards.
• Produce detailed electrical designs and specifications meeting performance and energy standards.
• Undertake detailed calculations and simulations to validate designs.
• Attend site visits and meetings with clients, architects, and contractors.
• Work collaboratively with engineers and design teams to meet deadlines.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of electrical design technologies and practices.

Work for a leading engineering consultancy specializing in Building Services. Join a dynamic team of experienced engineers and designers providing innovative and sustainable solutions for a range of projects across various sectors, in the UK and Internationally.

The firm is independently owned by the Directors and employees, all based together in one office, supporting each other without corporate interference or distractions irrelevant to project delivery. They can provide technical support when needed, but otherwise trust employees to independently manage their workload.

As an Associate Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the electrical design solutions on complex projects from initial concept through to final delivery, represent the business in front of clients and architects, and provide mentorship and guidance to more junior team members.
