Job summary

Pertemps is recruiting an Associate Electrical Design Engineer in Cambridge to lead electrical building services projects from concept to completion. You will manage client relationships, mentor engineers and help grow the Cambridge office, with a focus on technical delivery and profitability.

You'll work across commercial offices, education and healthcare sectors, influencing design decisions and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Strong understanding of Building Regulations and British Standards.
• Experience managing client relationships and project teams.
• Chartered Engineer status or clear pathway towards Chartership.

Associate Electrical Design Engineer | Cambridge | Up to £85,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus

An established and growing engineering consultancy is looking to appoint an Associate Electrical Design Engineer to join its Cambridge office.

This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys being involved in both the technical and commercial side of projects. You'll lead electrical design delivery across a varied portfolio, manage key client relationships, mentor engineers and play an active role in the growth of the Building Services team.

The business has a strong presence across the UK and works on a broad range of projects including commercial offices, education, healthcare, residential, life sciences and public sector developments.

The Role

You will take responsibility for leading electrical building services projects from initial concept through to completion, ensuring technical quality, programme delivery and client satisfaction throughout.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading electrical design on complex building services projects.
• Acting as the main client contact and developing long-term relationships.

About You

We're interested in speaking with experienced electrical building services engineers who are comfortable leading projects and engaging directly with clients.

You should have:

• Previous mentoring or line management experience.
