We're seeking a talented individual to join our VAT Tax Team in Manchester, responsible for providing tax VAT compliance and advisory services for a wide range of business clients.

Would you like to join a supportive, high-performing team with quality experience to learn and develop from?

Our exciting team has experienced significant growth over the past 5 years and continues to expand. We are at the next stage of our journey, looking to develop the regional VAT offering.

If you are ambitious and looking for a role where you can build and grow the business offering, with strong Business Development skills, please read on.

Initially, you will have support from the wider team in Newcastle, but we will build a team around you. Candidates from Manchester, Newcastle, or Leeds will be considered.

Responsibilities of Associate Director in VAT

• Client Management: Acting as a trusted adviser, engaging with clients on commercial and strategic issues, managing and developing client relationships, and identifying growth opportunities.
• Staff Management and Development: Providing appraisals, monitoring staff performance, and on-the-job training for junior staff.
• Practice Development: Driving new business opportunities through your network and facilitating cross-referrals.
• Compliance: Ensuring procedures follow institute and HMRC guidance.

Skills and Experience

• Significant VAT experience within a professional services setting.
• Ability to manage complex client work with strong technical skills.
• Experience in managing people and clients.
• Proven business development skills and a desire to grow the business.
• Experience dealing with senior stakeholders internally and externally.

Qualifications

Chartered tax advisor (CTA) or international equivalent.
