About the role

You will work closely with a transactions VAT Director and be a crucial member of the team, ensuring the successful delivery of interesting, challenging, and high-quality transactions tax technical projects.

Responsibilities:

1. Completing indirect tax due diligence projects, identifying VAT risks, and providing practical, commercial recommendations to clients, including sellers or buyers of businesses.
2. Delivering tax structuring advice before and after transactions to optimize VAT efficiency for clients.
3. Developing junior team members through delegation, coaching, and feedback.
4. Assisting in business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client relationship building.

About the ideal candidate

• CTA qualification preferred or equivalent.
• Experience at Manager level or demonstrating the necessary skills for the role.
• Knowledge of transaction work, either in a specialist capacity or broader role.
• Proven client handling and relationship-building skills.
• Strong coaching and inclusive leadership abilities.
• Business development experience or interest is advantageous but not essential.
