Job summary

Carrington West is supporting a Nottingham-based client to recruit an Associate/Associate Director in Transport Planning. The role demands ownership of projects, leadership of the team, and strong client engagement across a range of private sector developments.

You will work on Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Environmental Statements, and active travel strategies, with responsibility for budgets, resources, and delivery timelines. The position is based on site in Nottingham.

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering transport planning projects.
• Experience on private sector development projects (employment, residential, mixed-use).
• Experience leading projects, coordinating teams, delivering to programme and budget.
• Knowledge of TA, Travel Plans, Environmental Statements, and access/parking strategies.
• Experience with walking/cycling networks and active travel mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and own a range of transport planning projects and manage delivery to programme and budget.
• Develop and mentor junior staff and coordinate multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for new work.
• Contribute to business development and fee proposals with senior management.
