Associate Director - Project Planning Lead (Industrial Manufacturing)

Job Objectives

As an experienced Project Controls Professional in manufacturing, construction, or engineering, you will establish processes, templates, and tools, and set the baseline for cost and schedule, monitoring performance and incorporating risks, opportunities, and changes. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Identifying trends and root causes of deviations, recommending remedial actions to maximize client value.
  2. Evaluating project time, cost, and quality targets, applying governance controls for successful delivery.
  3. Collaborating with remote cost management teams to establish market-tested cost baselines and ensure value for money.
  4. Guiding and influencing general contractors to progress according to schedule and within cash flow parameters.
  5. Acting as the primary client contact, resolving delivery and commercial issues, and preparing reports on time, cost, and quality.
  6. Controlling costs through conceptual estimating, funding gates, contingency principles, and procurement principles.
  7. Creating and managing cost reports, including executive dashboards.
  8. Leading change management processes, tracking, and monitoring changes.
  9. Coordinating planning sessions, establishing baselines, and defining critical paths.
  10. Managing procurement schedules and vendor requirements.
  11. Participating in risk evaluations, incorporating risks into Monte Carlo simulations for project impacts.
  12. Monitoring project changes and communicating updates for approval.
  13. Ensuring vendors provide timely schedule updates and adhere to quality standards.

Qualifications include proven experience in project controls across all project phases, advanced skills in MS Office and Primavera P6, and qualities such as reliability, autonomy, teamwork, and strong time management.
